The Mad Dog Rescue Organisation

A Mad Dog Introduction ...

Rescue DogsOriginally taken in by the Re-homing Animal Telephone Service (RATS), Jed, Kizzy, and Gemma, and dogs  like them have had a history of being re-homed and then returned, sometimes several times.

Due to RATS change of circumstances and relocation, Barking Mad Dog training school, who have had a long association with the dogs, felt the need to step in in order to minimise the disruption, anxiety and stress that would be caused in the relocation process.

Mad Dog Rescue was formed, made up by dog lovers and trainers alike, all with the same goal - to give these ‘difficult’ dogs a second chance of some stimulation, training and most of all security.

KizzyJed, Kizzy ,Gemma and a recent addition, Scooby have all had a tough life! Each has been mistreated and then abandoned.

This often causes a distrust of people and then, when re-homed, at the first sign of problems they are abandoned again and returned back to the rescue kennels.

Sadly, Gemma passed away peacefully in April. She is missed by both the staff at BMDTS and MDR and its volunteer assistants. Hopefully, she found  that her last months were greatly improved in terms of quality and security, and that she enjoyed the attention and training she recieved.

Mad Dog Rescue, is a non profit making organisation, that has taken on the responsibility in not just caring for, but training tand rehabilitating these misunderstood and very confused dogs.

With your support in the form of a monthly sponsorship, we are determined to try to build up the trust these dogs have lost, and if future re-homing is not possible, to care for these dogs and others like them until the day they die.
